photos.dvd3000.ca A collection of many photos of different things revolving around computers, dogs, places I've been, things I've seen and generally just whatever. Every photo on this page was taken by me. Always adding more photos new and old! Updated Jan 9, 2021 < Home
Dec 31, 2020 Drinking orange juice with my toast for breakfast and looking at Kugee's Twitter page one last time before Twitter Armageddon later that night. |
Dec 20, 2020 Probably the best use of Internet Explorer you could think of. I'll probably install Mozilla 1.0 since it has better rendering, but I didn't have a copy of the installer on my local server at the time. |
Oct 29, 2020 The Toshiba Satellite A100 rises again. Now running Lubuntu 16.0.4 LTS, and using it for my school work and web browsing. This is actually the only laptop I own that works, except for the Dell Latitude c600 from 1999. Wallpaper is from foxkeh.com
Oct 28, 2020 The sunset outside the window. I have this as a 256 colour wallpaper as well, even though this scene looked way better in person :/ |
Oct 25, 2020 Here's the same system, sans case. I stripped the case of its parts and plan to put this motherboard as well as a bit more into a nice Mini Tower case. I hate these desktop cases, but I couldn't pass it off for what kind of hardware I'd get. I temporarily put my Pentium board in the case, but plan to get a Mini Tower for that one too as well. When both of my AT motherboards have tower cases, I'll sell the desktop one. Might have a go on retr0brighting it as well. |
Sep 4, 2020 And I know you've been asking, and here it is. The CPU in all its glory, the AMD 486 DX4-100 CPU. WOW, what a find. I purchased this machine for much less than you would expect, but also without knowing what kind of hardware I would get apart from it being a 486 class system. |
Sep 4, 2020 This is an ISA 486 based system with a very nice motherboard probably from 1994, an Arvida Technology S802G v2.0. In the expansion department we have a Sound Blaster Vibra 16 CT4170, Cirrus Logic CL-GD5426 VLB Video Card and a Winbond UN-1082 VLB Controller card. Seems like this system has been upgraded over time. Quite nice hardware. |
Sep 4, 2020 The ASI 486 the day I acquired it. Opening up the case to check out what kind of hardware we have. |
Aug 18, 2020 Helpful tips from Microsoft Word. Throw some personality into your works! |
Apr 16, 2020 Just finished the siding in the garage with my Dad. Our garage looks like a cabin now! And those crappy curtains from the 70s just pull it all together. |
Jan 3, 2020 Playing back my Clifford VHS tape, recorded from WETA in 2013. Half the inspiration for CLIFFORD PLS |
Oct 5, 2019 The inspiration to dogsite.dog. The only website made exclusively for dogs. |
Mar 31, 2019 Halfway just trying to get the grime, dust and cigarette tar off this thing so that I can feel alright taking it inside. Didn't take a photo of the final product, but I'll get to it soon. Just like the NES, it's working just fine. |
Mar 31, 2019 Here's the NES, looking a lot better. It's not perfect, but I plan to do a more thorough clean eventually. As of right now, it is actually working! |
Mar 31, 2019 And the SNES as well, even more filthy. Funny story when I was searching through the rest of the pile making sure I didn't miss anything, the guy who lives there went like "hey thats cool but don't make a mess cause I don't want the garbage pickup guys to be like "what the FUCKKK", so yeah thanks" |
Mar 31, 2019 Here's the filthy original NES. I don't even want to see the inside of the house this came out of. I've actually seen the people who live there, they're an older couple and they're nice people as far as I've seen. |
Mar 31, 2019 Spring cleaning haul, all from the local hoarders house. I hauled 3 boxes consiting of 30 years over to my brother, becuase he's more the kinda guy who would actually use and play with this stuff. Almost all of the stuff worked after hours of cleaning and testing. People are asking STUPID money for this stuff on eBay. |
Mar 30, 2019 Here's the machine after I started to part it out, removing the CD-ROM drive, 80GB hard drive and expansion cards. I ended up scrapping the motherboard because of 4 reasons, including that all the caps were exploded (yet it still booted), there's no AGP slot, the CPU cooler mount was shattered and the final reason: Celeron. |
Mar 30, 2019 You can see here its got a Celeron 1.70 GHz processor, 128MB RAM, Windows XP, some sort of ASUS motherboard. Expansion cards were an Ethernet card, somehow dead WiFi card and a Modem. |
Mar 30, 2019 Spring Cleaning pickup, found this on the side of the road, a real budget for-typing-word-documents-and-nothing-else kinda machine. |

Dec 17, 2018 Enjoying the Christmas season on VHS with my bedroom CRT. The true way to enjoy the classics. |
Dec 2, 2018 Decked out my room for Christmas time with some classic incandescant lights. I know LED lights exist, but I love the classic look of these. |
Sep 20, 2018 The Dell Dimension 3000 is all its average glory, the day I acquired this computer from a good friend. |
Sep 20, 2018 The NEC MultiSync 1530v has a hard time dealing with the ATI Radeon 9250 in the Dimension 3000. |
Aug 29, 2018 An honestly beautiful view. I could use this as a computer wallpaper if they didn't park their trailer there. |
Aug 29, 2018 On the way back we stopped in on Campbell River at the other property. Looks like someone parked their truck-bed-trailer made out of an old Fargo here. |
Aug 25, 2018 The Laundomat out in the field. |
Aug 25, 2018 This very empty looking scene at the Petro-Can station. |
Aug 25, 2018 One of the many quiet and empty towns along the BC-97. |
Aug 23, 2018 A view of the mountains along the Canadian highways. On our way out to visit a friend in Smithers. |
April 22, 2017 Having fun at a rare sight to see nowadays. Really though, mobile phones are so commonplace now, it would almost seem like a waste of money to phone companies to keep maintaining old school phone booths. |
Mar 22, 2017 Another building on the main road of ladner. I remember going to the book store at one point. |
Mar 22, 2017 Ladner Hardware closes for good. The building is now redeveloped. :( |
Mar 4, 2017 The mess of wires behind the Dell Dimension E520. Cable management is top notch. |

Feb 14, 2017 My website as seen on February 14, 2017. |
Jan 30, 2017 Indestructible calculator. You're welcome. |
Sep 9, 2016 The Dell Dimension E520 doing what it does best. |
Aug 9, 2016 Another picture at the park in Greenwood, BC. |
Aug 9, 2016 The 2006 Jetta broke down on the way to Kootenay Lake. Ended up staying the night in Greenwood, known as Canada's Smallest Town. Picture was taken at the park, and the Greenwood Motel is seen in the background. |
Dec 25, 2015 Friday the Morkie chilling out on the chair. One of the first picutures taken with my new camera for Christmas :) |
Sep 6, 2015 A beautiful shot of Friday the Morkie out in the park. |
Sep 6, 2015 A totally awful, terrible, no-good photo of Friday running. |
Aug 15, 2015 In the same building as the Sr. Partner, also saw this old school wall mounted rotary telephone. I never understood the deal with "teenagers don't know how to use a rotary phone". It's pretty straight forward. Most people have at least seen one in a movie. |
Aug 15, 2015 Spotted an old Panasonic Sr. Partner on the floor in an old building. At least this thing's name still holds up. Had to notice the B sticker under the hard drive, makes me wonder if this thing had been upgraded in the past. |
Aug 14, 2015 Stopped in at Barkerville. Took a few nice photos of the old houses there. Just convert to black and white, and you're done. |
Aug 13, 2015 Some sights along the highway. |
Aug 13, 2015 Man, it's hot out. |
Aug 13, 2015 Ended up stopping on the side of the highway to take a break on the way to Kootenay Lake, and some other places to stop in at. |
Aug 10, 2015 Ended up taking a lot of photos there. Most of them are with other people, so to play it safe I won't include them. |
Aug 10, 2015 Just getting into the trailer at Kootenay Lake. |
June 16, 2015 I don't remember exactly what was shipped in this box, but it sure does make a good "no tree treehouse". Hey, everyone wanted a treehouse, right. |

Apr 19, 2015 Baby Friday the Morkie falling asleep on a pair of shoes!! |

Mar 30, 2015 Baby Friday!!! Isn't he just the tiniest pupper you've ever seen? Awwww.... |
Oct 21, 2011 Something's going on here... but I'm not exactly sure what that is. I noticed how Mommy Spot (that's what I named the stuffed dog at the time) is sitting on the box of the camera I was using at the time. |
July 31, 2011 Blue Bear in lego jail. We bailed him out by dropping the whole thing onto the floor! |

July 4, 2004 A view of the water from a previous home in Burnaby. |
